Stephen is focused on internet based enterprise applications with large project capabilities. He has an insurance specialisation and has architected solutions that have become key enterprise systems.
Possessing a balance of technical, business and organisational skills, Stephen can drive a project from inception to implementation. Operating across the enterprise Stephen is articulate, diplomatic and personable. He can convey complex technical solutions to business stakeholders with differing levels of technical knowledge. He is a trend spotter and proponent of best practice techniques.
Stephen is interested in knowledge management in the enterprise, especially with the application of Web 2.0 social principles in the enterprise environment. He is passionate about the strategic application of technology and identifying opportunities where technology can improve business processes.
Stephen extends this passion to his personal life where he dabbles in many web based projects and embraces the label 'Ideas Hamster' to best describe his approach to technology. His latest project tinybeans.com is a website that helps new parents determine their children's strengths and weaknesses, and helps parents who want to be proactive in their children's development by putting them in touch with a like minded community.
"Side projects such as Tinybeans are an outlet for me to come up with new ideas, and help keep my technical skills up to date. The down side is that I don't get much sleep!"
